From: Beyond Church
To the disciples of Christ, living and serving in Castle Rock, Larkspur, and Franktown, stay faithful my friends~~
On one of his last nights with his disciples, Jesus said, “Let me give you a new command: Love one another. In the same way I loved you, you love one another. This is how everyone will recognize that you are my disciples—when they see the love you have for each other.” The Disciple John gave us an Eleventh Commandment from the mouth of Jesus. In some respects, Jesus takes the Big Ten Moses received to a whole new level. Since there are only two types of people in this world, those who have chosen to become Christ’s disciples and those who have not yet made that decision, let us strenuously labor to persuade people to know our Heavenly Father. Let us carry this evidence of our discipleship as found only in the measure of our love of fellow disciples of Christ regardless of any denominational or church label we may carry. In doing so, this love for one another should be so real and so tangible that those who have not yet chosen to follow Christ have no choice but to take note and say, “This is the real thing!” So until that actually happens, until a look of astonishment is found in their eyes, we have not yet fulfilled this Eleventh Commandment.
I pray that our love for Christ, the love we first received from Him, will be evident in our tangible love for one another. “In the same way, let your love and good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your Heavenly Father.”
To Him be the glory, now and in the future.
God bless you,
