The resurrection of Jesus Christ is a deep mystery. Think about the ripple effects created by the discovery of an empty tomb some two thousand years ago. These ripples continue to confound even the toughest cynic today. Where did Christ’s body go? What about those who were there, the hundreds who laid eyes on the risen Christ? What transformed the formerly sheepish disciples into fearless martyrs? But most of all contemplate this question—if you believe Christ rose from the dead: What does the resurrection mean for you personally? How is it causing you to break out of your comfort zone, fears, and self-concern?

Brothers and Sisters in Christ, we see in the resurrection of Jesus the blessed promise that He indeed is coming again. And now, little children abide in him, so that when he appears we may have confidence and not shrink from him in shame at his coming. ~ I John 2:28
